BG Electrical Nexus Storm Unswitched Fused Connection Unit with Latching Type A RCD, IP66

The BG Electrical WP55ARCD is a 13A unswitched fused connection unit (FCU) with a latching Type A RCD, supplied in a weatherproof mounting box for outdoor use. The RCD continuously monitors the electrical supply to a hardwired appliance and disconnects the power if an earth current fault is detected.

The FCU has a high impact polycarbonate housing and an IP66 rating when the cover is closed. Its clear flexible membrane allows the switch and power status to be viewed and operated without opening the unit. The latching RCD mechanism means the FCU returns to its original state when power is restored, so it does not need to be reset after a loss of power.

Installation features include five 20mm knockouts and angled, in-line colour coded terminals with captive screws. The fast fix design has no separate screws or screw covers and allows 150° rotation. A hinged cover with a fixing screw provides access to the fuse.

The BG Nexus Storm WP55ARCD is suitable for outdoor installations where a fixed electrical appliance requires a fused connection unit with Type A RCD protection. Typical applications include outdoor lighting, pumps, water features, garden equipment and other permanently connected electrical equipment.
