The A9L40600 Acti9 iPRD40 modular surge arrester is a Type 2 device designed to protect 3P+N electrical installations from transient overvoltages. Its modular, DIN rail mounted design features pluggable, withdrawable cartridges with an anti-vibration lock, allowing quick and simple replacement when required. This reversible surge arrester offers flexible installation with power supply via bottom comb busbar or top cable connection. The associated circuit breaker has an Isc breaking capacity of up to 50kA, and the A9L40600 delivers a nominal discharge current of 15kA and a maximum discharge current of 40kA, ensuring reliable protection for three phase systems. The maximum continuous operating voltage is 350VAC between phase and earth and between phase and neutral, and 260VAC between neutral and earth. It operates at a rated service voltage of 230/400VAC with a frequency of 50/60Hz, and provides a voltage protection level of 1.4kV in both common and differential modes.

Built to IEC 61643-11:2011 and EN 61643-11:2012 standards, it is suitable for TT and TN-S earthing systems, including installations with high prospective short-circuit fault currents. Dimensions (W) 72mm x (H) 85mm x (D) 69mm.
