The GW44219 IP56 waterproof junction box from the Gewiss 44 CE range is a durable and versatile surface mounting enclosure designed to protect electrical connections in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Manufactured from high-quality GWPLAST 75 technopolymer, it offers excellent resistance to impact, heat and environmental stress, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor electrical installations.

With an IP56 rating, this junction box provides reliable protection against dust and water jets, ensuring internal components remain safe in challenging conditions. Its IK08 impact resistance makes it suitable for areas where mechanical strength is essential, such as workshops, plant rooms and exposed outdoor locations. The deep screwed lid, secured with four insulated and sealable screws, creates a watertight seal for added protection and long-term reliability, while the smooth wall design allows for easy customisation, giving installers the flexibility to drill cable entry points where required, with a maximum hole diameter of 48mm. This halogen-free junction box, compliant with EN 60754-2, enhances safety by reducing the emission of toxic gases in the event of fire. It is also tested to a glow wire temperature of 650°C and operates reliably within a wide temperature range of -25°C to +60°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
