Metal Detectable Cable Tie 370 x 4.8mm Blue

The CT370-4.8MD is a pack of 100 blue 370 x 4.8mm nylon cable tie manufactured with metallic particles throughout its length, allowing it to be detected more readily by metal detection equipment than standard nylon cable ties. It is specifically intended for use in food processing, pharmaceutical and chemical processing environments where reducing the risk of foreign material contamination is important.

The cable tie is manufactured from polyamide 6.6 with a metallic compound incorporated throughout the material. Its blue colour, RAL 5007, also assists with visual identification and detection. The cable tie can be used as part of a HACCP process to help reduce the risk of cable tie fragments or components becoming a source of contamination. This cable tie has resistance to solvents, oils, lubricants, petroleum derivatives and alkalis when used at low temperatures, low concentrations and for short periods. It is not resistant to acids, phenols or chlorinated solvents.
