TIS Audible Socket Tester with Loop & RCD Check

The TIS 1005 Audible Socket Tester from Test Instrument Solutions is a compact plug-in tester for checking 13A sockets for polarity, earth loop condition and 30mA RCD operation. Three coloured LEDs provide a clear indication of socket condition, showing whether the circuit is OK, requires attention or needs urgent attention. The tester also uses an audible buzzer to provide additional warning during testing.

Designed for initial socket checks, the TIS 1005 can identify faults on live, neutral and earth and checks the socket against 17 possible fault conditions. Its simple plug-in operation makes it useful for electricians, landlords, housing associations, council property departments and facilities teams carrying out routine electrical checks.

The tester also measures earth loop impedance at mains frequency and provides a 30mA RCD test with a 3 second test hold.
